ORAL AND
POSTER PRESENTATIONS
The papers will be delivered verbally or with posters in the
14th INTERNATIONAL DAS Congress. The abstracts must be
prepared in Turkish or English. The papers can be presented
in Turkish or English.
When submitting the paper, the authors preferred method of
presentation (oral or poster) and the sub-field of the study
needs to be specified. The Scientific Committee has the
right to accept or decline the presentation depending on the
content of the study and number of applications; or in case
it is accepted, to change the form and sub-field of the
presentation. All accepted papers will be presented in the
form of posters, except for those selected as oral
presentations by the Scientific Committee.
ABSTRACT SUBMISSION:
- Abstracts can only be sent via the internet, via the
on-line abstract system on the congress website.
-Abstracts sent via e-mail will not be accepted.
While entering your abstract into the system; The
name-surname, title, institution and city contact
information of the author who registered the paper, and the
name-surname, title, institution and city contact
information of the other researchers who prepared the paper
must be entered.
Considering the content of the paper, one of the
following topics should be chosen.
Set and instrument transfer, decontamination, packaging,
sterilization, storage, shelf life, monitoring, validation,
asepsis-aseptic practices, disinfection, disinfectants,
occupational safety, employee safety, medical devices and
safety, infection control, training, operating room, wound
care, other
The title of the paper should consist of a maximum of 10
words and fully reflect the content of the study.
Abstracts should include the following sections as standard:
- Purpose - Materials and Methods - Findings (numerical
and/or statistical data) - Result(s) -
A table, graph or image can be added to the paper.
The abstract should not exceed 500 words.
When submitting abstracts, authors' presentation preference
(oral or e-poster) should be stated.
Studies receiving any project support or other research
support should be stated.
The studies to be evaluated for the paper award must be
specified.
Ongoing papers, whose results have not been received, and
studies that do not contain the above sections will
ABSOLUTELY NOT be taken into consideration.
Accepted papers cannot be withdrawn after the acceptance
letter is sent.
Posters accepted for presentation but not presented will be
announced on the congress and association websites at the
end of the congress under the title "UNPRESENTED PAPERS".
The last day for abstract submission is OCTOBER 27, 2024.
EVALUATION OF ABSTRACTS:
Abstracts sent to the congress are evaluated by the "Paper
Evaluation Committee". Paper evaluation committee; The
congress scientific committee consists of speakers, session
chairmen and referees selected by the board of directors
from among experts in their fields.
The submitted abstracts will be evaluated by the "Paper
Evaluation Committee" and it will be decided whether they
are accepted for presentation or not, and the author who
will present the paper will be notified at least 25 days
before the start of the congress.
The paper evaluation committee has the right to accept or
reject the paper depending on the content of the study and
the number of applications, and to change the form and
sub-field of the presentation if accepted.
For accepted papers after the evaluation, an "acceptance
letter" will be sent via e-mail to the author who will
present the paper, stating that the paper has been accepted
and the form of presentation (oral or poster).
It is mandatory to register for the congress within 5 days
after the abstract acceptance information is sent.
ORAL PRESENTATIONS;
Our congress participants who will make oral presentations
at the congress must submit their presentations to the
presentation control room at least one day before the
presentation days specified in the program.
Presentations must be prepared with Microsoft Office
software.
The time determined for oral presentations is 8 minutes in
total, including presentation (5 minutes) + discussion (3
minutes). This period should never be exceeded. Visual
(image or video) and audio materials can be used when making
oral presentations.
POSTER PRESENTATIONS;
Posters should be prepared in dimensions of 70x100 cm and
the font size should be planned to be readable from 1.5
meters.
Poster owners will have their posters printed themselves.
The poster MUST BE BROUGHT TO THE CONGRESS AS PRINTED.
Poster authors will hang their posters on the board reserved
for posters and then remove them themselves.
The materials required for poster hanging will be available
in the poster area.
Poster owners must hang their posters in the morning of
December 5, 2024 and take them back before the closing
session on December 8, 2024. The organizers will not be held
responsible for posters that are not returned after the
closing session.
Poster owners will be asked to present their posters for the
poster discussion on the day and time to be announced at the
congress.
